For as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated by the camera, seizing those moments that can pass us so quickly and leave us wanting more. This affection is very similar to how I feel about travelling and experiencing the world. The smells, the way the light is different from coast to coast, the differing architecture and culture fills my soul. Photography allows me to respectfully leave what is but capture curiously, a moment or a feeling that resonates with me. ~chris kufske

For over two decades, my lens has navigated the wedding industry, the corporate and commercial world and portraits, capturing moments that tell stories of professionalism, precision and personality.

I have, however always been in awe of the art of shadows and light-the interplay that transforms the ordinary into something profound.

As a Fine Art Photographer, I'm drawn to the simplicity and complexity of contrasting imagery. Whether it's the fleeting beauty of a flower's fragility, the contrast of architecture against a shifting sky, or cool colour stories teasing each other, my work seeks to explore the in-between moments-the quiet, the bold, and the unseen. It’s almost meditative for me when I’m exploring and photographing a new series.

Travel photography feeds my curiosity, while flowers teach me patience and perspective. Both serve as reminders that beauty exists in the details, often waiting for us to slow down and actually notice them. My journey is about capturing what's ephemeral and timeless, weaving together light, shadow, and texture to create calming images that resonate on a deeply human level.

Fine Art Photography is my way of embracing what really inspires me: the subtle art of seeing the world through an evolving, wiser, kinder to myself lens. Playing and becoming curious like my inner child.

I’m so glad you are here on this trip of exploration with me.

Stay curious,

Chris Kufske
